The Williamson River meanders through open tall grass meadows and grows rainbows of 10-30 inches and brook trout six to 24 inches. The 10 mile stretch of private water is a food factory. Fish can be very discerning, even frustrating, but exciting and rewarding. They are big and strong. The private 300-acre lake, 15 miles away, has 12- to 25-inch rainbows.
Steamboat Inn is located 3½ hours south of Portland, in the middle of 31 miles of "fly fishing only" water on the legendary North Umpqua River, famous for some of the best summer steelhead flyfishing in the United States. Steamboat is close to Crater Lake National Park and other local attractions. Accommodations are well appointed and have private baths. There is a nightly "Fisherman's Dinner" that features outstanding dining and tall tales.
This spectacular 40,000 acre ranch has six lakes with trout from 12 inches to 6 pounds. Beginning in the high desert at 3000 feet, the ranch rises to 6000 feet in a park-like pine forest. The lakes range in size from 4 to over 100 acres. Trips are limited to 6-12 anglers. Typical stays are from 2 to 4 days/nights. Perfect for small groups of friends or family.
Fish the lower 32 miles by jet boat. Home to prolific runs of fish that include steelhead, "half pounders," silver and chinook salmon. The steelhead begin entering the river in July. The prime time for a crack at all these species is September to early November. Also available are float trips on the Elk, Sixes and Chetco Rivers.
Three homes on two miles of the Williamson River make this is the perfect location for couples, families or a few fishing friends. Accommodations are in one two bedroom cottage and two new comfortable 1500-square-foot log homes for two to six people. Guided or unguided fishing option. Close to Klamath Lake, Wood River and non-fishing interests.
Built in 1946 and located on a peaceful bend in the Rogue River 16 miles west of Grants Pass. Morrisons has nine river view cottages with fireplaces, private decks and four rooms in the main lodge. September through mid-November is prime time for steelhead.
The John Day is Oregon's longest free-flowing river, winding 210 miles to join the Columbia. One of the Northwest's hottest smallmouth fisheries—peak season is June through August. Packages are float fishing and camping on the river. Expect 10 to 50 one- to four-pound fish per day on dries, poppers and steamers.
Two ranches with private walk/wade access as well as the option for day float trips. The season is mid-October through December, fishing two to six anglers. Accommodations (not included) are at the historic Hotel Condon, with comfortable rooms, restaurant, and bar.

Native rainbow trout angling begins in May with the world-famous stonefly hatch and continues to the end of October. Steelhead season begins mid-August through October; you have the option of catching both trout and/or steelhead. McKenzie-style drift boats provide a comfortable float.
