El Pescador

El Pescador is located on Ambergris Cay off the northern coast of Belize, 10 minutes by boat north of San Pedro, and 15 minutes by air north of Belize City. The lodge itself is situated on a long sand beach in a grove of coconut palms. The grounds are immaculate. Food and service are excellent. Fishing is mainly for tarpon and bonefish, but some permit are available. Anglers will fish from flat-bottomed skiffs, as the flats are too soft to wade. Guides are excellent, and they will pole you into the best casting position. The best sight fishing for tarpon outside of Florida is available over miles of clear, sandy bottom. Tarpon run 20 to 120 pounds. Shorter and longer stays available.

Belize River Lodge

For those anglers who have fished the flats and reefs but never seem to get enough. Spend seven nights and six days fishing the barrier reef from English Cay south to the Silk Cays. This is the perfect getaway from the getaways! Ideal for a group of two or four. Other boats and itineraries available.

Turneffe Flats

Located on Turneffe Island, 30 miles East of Belize City, Turneffe Flats Lodge is reached via a 90-minute launch trip. Features include central air conditioning; 400 square foot rooms; one queen and one extra-long twin bed in each room; Mexican tile floors and vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans. You have a magnificent view of the morning sun rising out of the ocean while sipping the fresh coffee that is delivered to your doorstep. At night the pounding surf will lull you to sleep. The fishing is diverse and extensive. Tarpon run 10 to 90 pounds, bonefish two to five, some to 10, permit 5 to 25 pounds (with over 150 landed in 2001). Wade fishing is excellent. It is not uncommon for anglers to score a grand slam. A scattering of small islands makes this area exceptionally beautiful. Trip days are Saturday to Saturday.

Turneffe Island Lodge

Turneffe Island Lodge is located on Caye Bokel, a 12-acre private island, 30 miles from the mainland. The fishing is suitable for any level of skill. There are miles of beautiful flats; outside flats between the reef and the cays and inside mangrove studded flats are all home to bonefish and permit. There are resident as well as migratory tarpon that range from 10 to 100 pounds. This is grand slam country! The potential for diverse species such as jacks, snapper, wahoo, tuna, dorado and barracuda makes for a great experience. The recently remodeled lodge and accommodations are comfortable for the angler and non-angler. Stays of 3, 4, or 7 days available. Per person double occupancy.
