Bikini Atoll

Bikini is one of those rare places in the world where you never know from cast to cast what you are going to hook. Be prepared with the proper gear to tackle over 20 different species. There are nice bonefish, but they are just another species. Record size trevally and snapper are present, as are the “bad boys”: yellowfin and dogtooth tuna. Sand and hard coral flats are accessed by boat and fished on foot. Guides are knowledgeable about locating fish but vary in their fly fishing expertise. The lagoon is 13 by 23 miles. The flats are broad areas between the ocean and the lagoon, located around the 20 islands that make up the atoll.
