Cuzan Guest House

Located in Punta Allen, a Mayan lobster fishing village at the end of the road in the million-acre Sian Ka'an world biosphere preserve. Miles of flats and a multitude of cays where bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook and barracuda are abundant. Wade fishing is great—bottoms range from white sand to turtle grass. Accommodations are in thatched roof palapas with comfortable beds, mosquito netting, and private baths. Up to 12 anglers. Dinners feature seafood (local lobster in season), tropical fruits and vegetables flavored with indigenous herbs and spices. An excellent value. Shorter stays and single packages available.

Boca Paila

On Mexico's sunny Yucatan Peninsula, just two hours south of bustling Cancun—a tropical paradise with 2½ miles of private beach awaiting avid anglers and their non-fishing companions. Boca Paila offers consistent bonefishing (two to four pounds), and chances to take permit. As a bonus, these waters hold tarpon, snook, barracuda, jack crevalle and cubera snapper. Sunday to Sunday. Shorter stays are available. Double Occupancy, Per Person.

Casa Blanca

Located at the south end of Ascension, reached by air charter out of Cancun.  Vast firm flats for wade fishing as well as fishing from the 16-foot Dolphin skiffs make for a great week of fishing. Bonefish run 2 to 4 pounds, some larger. Permit from 10 to 40 pounds and Tarpon 10 to 80 pounds make the elusive Grand Slam a possibility. The comfortable lodge is located in a beautiful tropical setting, complete with white sand beach and coconut palms near the ocean's edge.

Playa Blanca

This is the smaller sister lodge 20 minutes south of Casa Blanca that caters to serious anglers as well as non-fishing guests. Anglers have top guides with Dolphin flats skiffs. Among non-fishing activities available are snorkeling, wind surfing, sea kayaking and natural history excursions.

Rancho Leonero

Rancho Leonero is located on 700 acres and nearly two miles of unspoiled ocean front on the East Cape, about 1 hour north ofthe Cabo airport. Enjoy the tropical Hacienda-style elegance in an oceanfront bungalow or standard/deluxe rooms. Depending on the season, dorado, roosterfish, yellowfin tuna, yellowtail, marlin and many others are fair game. Typical fishing is out of super pangas, but cruisers are also available. Non-angling activities include snorkeling, diving, horseback riding and sea kayaking.
